Call for Young Artists: Kids Tent at the 2025 Suttons Bay Art Festival

Are you a young artist interested in gaining real-world experience selling your handmade art? We are inviting young artists 8 -18 years old to apply for a spot in the Kids Tent at the 45th Annual Suttons Bay Art Festival on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

Selected students will have the opportunity to display and sell their original artwork to festival attendees. This is a wonderful chance to learn about pricing, presentation, and customer interaction in a supportive, fun environment.

Key Details:

• Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025

• Location: Suttons Bay Marina

• Artwork must be original and created by the artist they can include: paintings, drawings, weavings, fiber arts, ceramics, sculpture, the sky's the limit as long as it is handmade.

• Artists will set up their work on a provided table, price their items, and process their own sales (cash, check, venmo, etc.)

• Each artist will be scheduled for a 4-hour shift; longer shifts may be available based on interest and availability

• Multiple young artists will sell simultaneously under the Kids Tent, each having their own table space

• All items for sale must be handmade and representative of what was submitted in the application

• Applications will be reviewed by general age categories: 8-11 yrs old, 12-14 yrs old and 15-18 yrs old.

• Letter of recommendation: Please ask an adult (not related to you) to send a letter of recommendation on your behalf.  Letters can be sent to tc@crookedtree.org

• Deadline to apply:  May 15
